Sandra Rasmussen, President
Sandra Rasmussen is the CEO of Critical Realm Corporation, and IgKnight Management (a CRC Company). As a Management Consultant, she is a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst who provides coaching, communication and leadership training. Sandra is a San Jose Native, spent most of her life on the East Side, and went on to graduate from San Jose State University. She is passionate about serving her community through service, and aims to bring people together.  She believes that small well placed improvements can ultimately create lasting change. ​

Zulma Maciel, Vice President
Zulma Maciel is a versatile leader with expertise in grants administration, contracts, procurement, legislative and public policy development. She is currently Assistant to the City Manager for the City of San Jose and has over 20 years public administration experience. She is passionate about health and wellness, education, conservation and social equity.

​Elizabeth Luna, Treasurer
Elizabeth Luna, AIF® is a Director of Wealth Management at ARIA Wealth Management, Inc.  Elizabeth has always had a deep passion for empowering women around finance. She knows firsthand the meaningful victories that both men and women can experience when taking charge of their financial life.  Elizabeth provides her clients expert guidance in wealth management, estate planning and customized portfolio management.  A Bay Area native, Elizabeth is a graduate of Santa Clara University and resides in the Rose Garden area of San Jose with her husband and 3 children.

Melanie Espino, Secretary
Melanie is the co-founder and principal of Actionable Insights, a consulting firm that helps organizations discover and act on data-driven insights. She has over 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector with roles in technology, data, and evaluation. Melanie stands for equity and fulfillment for everyone. Melanie is a native of East San Jose and graduate of San Jose State University. Her volunteer work has included serving as president of Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley, and serving on local commissions.

Kim Guptill
Kim Guptill is the Marketing Lead at ALearn, a nonprofit that is committed to helping underrepresented students get to and succeed in college. She is the former Grants Manager at the Leo M. Shortino Family Foundation, which makes grants to organizations that support at-risk youth in education and the arts, and she spent 15 years consulting with Hewlett-Packard, helping them market their servers and PCs. Her passion exactly matches Grail’s: to launch low-income, first-generation students on a trajectory to success.
Kim holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arizona, a Master’s of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and an M.A. in Organizational Communication from Purdue.

Diana Gilbert
Diana Gilbert is a CPA with over 25 years of audit, corporate and operational finance experience. Diana is a Senior Consultant with RoseRyan. Diana is passionate about helping build strong families. It is this passion that drew her to join the Board of Directors for GFS in 2006. Diana’s passion for the community is also reflected in her volunteer roles as a Housing and Human Services Commissioner for the City of Sunnyvale and a 20+ year member of the Junior League of San Jose. She graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, concentration in Accounting.

Duanne Welsch
Duanne Welsch is a retired senior administrative analyst from the University of California, Berkeley. She has been a Grail member since 1960 and has served on the National Finance Committee and Development Committee. Duanne has a BA in Geography from UC Berkeley and an MPA from the University of San Francisco.

Graciela Borsato
Graciela Borsato is the Director of the DREME Network at Stanford University. DREME, which stands for Development and Research in Early Mathematics Education, brings together a group of scholars throughout the country who collaborate to advance the field or early math education. Dr. Borsato holds an M.A. in Experimental Psychology from San Jose State University and a Ph.D. in Education (Child and Adolescent Development concentration) from Stanford University. An immigrant herself, she is profoundly committed to advance opportunities for immigrant children and their families.

Marcelo Iwasaki
Marcelo Iwasaki is Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for Manufacturers Bank, a Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation subsidiary, and has more than 20 years of international experience in the banking industry.   He held leadership roles at the Banco do Brasil S.A. in Tokyo, Brazil, London, New York, and Miami prior to joining Manufacturers Bank in 2014. Marcelo has degrees from the Universidade de São Paulo (Economic Science), Pontifícia Universidade Católica (Social Science), Universidade de Brasilia (Philosophy), and an MSc Finance from the London School of Economics.

​Aditya Nagarajan
Aditya Nagarajan is a Senior Corporate Counsel at Cisco Meraki in San Francisco, serving as a product counsel advising on commercial transactions, international regulatory compliance, employment disputes, and other general counseling matters.  Aditya previously was an associate at international law firms in New York City and Washington, D.C., specializing in mergers and acquisitions and cross-border transactions.  He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a double-major in History and Political Science, followed with a law degree from Cornell Law School.
